What TimeCove Does
TimeCove is a mobile reminder app for Android and iOS. It helps you create reminders by voice or manual entry, receive notifications and alarm-style alerts, and confirm when reminders are completed.
Information You Enter Or Create
TimeCove may store the following information on your device:
- Reminder titles, descriptions, schedules, completion state, recurrence, and alert settings
- App preferences, such as theme, language, onboarding state, and reminder reliability settings
- Optional weather settings, such as a saved place name, coordinates, timezone, and cached weather summary
- Optional AI fallback and cloud voice settings, such as provider, model, endpoint, and API keys
Reminder data is used to show your reminders, schedule notifications and alarms, and update reminder status when you mark a reminder complete.
Voice And Microphone
TimeCove requests microphone access so you can create reminders by voice.
Depending on your settings and device capabilities, voice input may be processed by Android system speech recognition, local speech components available to the app, or optional cloud speech providers you configure and enable.
When cloud speech is enabled, audio or transcript content may be sent to the selected provider so that the provider can return a transcription. When cloud speech is not enabled, TimeCove uses local or system speech paths where available.
TimeCove does not use microphone access for advertising.
Notifications, Alarms, And Reliability Permissions
TimeCove uses notifications, exact alarms, vibration, foreground service behavior, boot rescheduling, and optional full-screen reminder screens to deliver reminders at the time you choose.
These permissions are used only to schedule, deliver, display, and complete reminders.
TimeCove may ask you to adjust battery or notification settings so reminders are delivered more reliably. These settings are optional and controlled by your device.
Weather
If you enable weather mode, TimeCove may send your searched place name or saved coordinates to weather services, including Open-Meteo, to search locations and fetch current weather. TimeCove does not request device location permission for this feature.
Weather information is used to adapt the app's home experience and alarm narration context. It does not change reminder time, priority, recurrence, or delivery eligibility. You can turn weather mode off in settings.
Optional AI And Cloud Provider Features
TimeCove includes optional AI fallback and cloud voice settings. These features are off unless you configure and enable them.
If enabled, reminder text, voice transcription requests, or generated speech requests may be sent to the provider you selected. Provider behavior is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
API keys you enter are stored on your device using the app's secure storage mechanism where available. You can remove or replace them in the app settings.
Analytics And Crash Reporting
In releases configured with Firebase Analytics, TimeCove uses Firebase Analytics, a Google service, to understand aggregate product use and improve reliability. Analytics data can include app interactions such as app opens, permission outcomes, model selection or download outcomes, voice interaction outcomes, and reminder action types; app and device technical context; app-instance or installation identifiers; and aggregate performance signals such as duration buckets and normalized feature error categories. Google may derive coarse country or region information from an IP address for analytics reports.
We intentionally do not include reminder titles or descriptions, audio, transcripts, exact reminder schedules, API keys, device paths, user IDs, or free-form text in our custom analytics events. We do not use TimeCove analytics data for advertising or ad personalization. Android configuration disables advertising-ID collection and ad-personalization signals. iOS uses Firebase Analytics Core without IDFA support and disables IDFV collection and ad-personalization signals. Firebase Analytics data is processed by Google under the applicable Firebase/Google terms and privacy practices.
In configured Android releases, TimeCove also uses Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose stability problems. Crashlytics may receive uncaught Java and native crash reports, stack traces, app version and device/OS diagnostics, and app-instance or other technical identifiers. We do not add reminder text, transcripts, API keys, or free-form user content as Crashlytics custom keys or logs. Crashlytics data is used for app reliability and debugging, not advertising.
Data Sharing
TimeCove does not sell your data.
TimeCove does not include advertising features in the current release.
TimeCove may transfer data to third-party services only when required for app features or services, such as Firebase Analytics for aggregate product measurement, Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting in configured Android releases, weather lookup and forecast services, Android system speech recognition, or optional cloud speech, text-to-speech, or AI providers that you configure and enable.
Data Retention And Deletion
Reminder data and settings are stored on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
TimeCove does not currently provide an account system. If you uninstall the app or clear app storage, local app data is removed by the operating system.
Data sent to third-party providers is handled according to those providers' own retention policies.
Analytics and crash diagnostic data are retained according to the Firebase/Google settings and terms that apply to the configured project.
Children
TimeCove is not directed to children. If the intended Play Console target audience changes, this section must be reviewed before publication.
Security
TimeCove uses platform storage and secure storage mechanisms where available. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to limit data use to the features you choose to enable.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the effective date and publish the latest version at https://timecove.diyunc.cc/privacy/.
